Our raw ingredients are locally sourced wherever possible, from reliable West Country producers and suppliers. The lamb and beef is often from local farms, along with seasonal vegetables and herbs. Fresh seafood comes from the coastal waters of Devon and Cornwall and occasionally straight from Salcombe. Cheeses, smoked meat and fish products are selected from West Country producers. All our dishes are handmade from raw ingredients in our professional kitchen. How many people can Brownsvibe cater for? From an intimate dinner for family and friends in the comfort of your own home, to an infinite crowd of hungry masses – talk to us about how many guests you have to feed, and we’re sure to have a solution. Guests will be coming from far afield and will be hungry, what can you provide for them before the main meal? We offer a comprehensive canapé selection, from delicate savoury treats to elaborate sweet creations. I have a guest that has a gluten and dairy free diet, can you help? Help us to help you by informing us of any guests that may have special dietary requirements, so that we can provide them with a flavoursome and exciting menu too. This is a big event for us, can you help with other aspects of organisation? Definitely. We are very aware of the massive organisation that goes into planning an event and pride ourselves on getting the details right for you. With a site meeting, we are able to go through many ideas that would work well in the available space, to arrange timings, and recommend various companies that we regularly use to assist you in completing the picture. Our links page will list some of these companies. You can contact them yourself, or you can leave it all to us to arrange directly. I need help with other aspects of my event, like flowers and decorations, entertainment, a photographer, and then there’s the cake! With over 15 years of experience in wedding and event catering, we have some great recommended contacts for all the extra things you may need, so feel free to contact us for further advice and assistance. Who serves the food? Our team of attentive, efficient , friendly and professional staff serve the food. They are experienced in providing a high quality service. They have been trained as a team to be attentive, but unobtrusive, and look smart in one of our uniforms to suit your event. They will set up the whole event from the laying of tables placing of favours right through to serving of canapés and drinks if required. Who clears? We offer a full and comprehensive clear up service, were everything we supply is taken away. Is wine provided? We find that people usually like to provide their own wines but we can provide a wine list if required. We have very experienced wine waiters to assist with serving your drinks. Additional costs would include ice and pre-chilling of drinks. We do not charge corkage. I want a caterer that can provide the food and the drinks for my event Brownsvibe can provide the perfect drinks arrangements - fitting for your occasion, and to complement your chosen menu. I’d like to provide the drinks for my event, but I don’t want the hassle of serving them, can you help? Brownsvibe can serve your chosen drinks for you – leaving you hassle free to enjoy the day. I don’t need Brownsvibe staff, but I do want Brownsvibe food We offer a ‘delivery only’ service for canapés, finger buffets, corporate lunches, picnic menus and high teas. Please contact us for more information. What distance will Brownsvibe Outside catering travel? We cater anywhere in the South West. The distance depends on the number of guests, timings to a certain extent and available budget. Are there any hidden costs? We endeavour to make our estimates as clear as possible and adapt to all budgets. There are usually three aspects to the costs: 1. The menu; 2. The hire of crockery, cutlery, glass ware and linen; 3. The waiting staff. 4. Travelling time @ 0.50p per mile Extra costs include napkins, supplementary ovens and refrigeration for certain outside venues. Can you provide cutlery, crockery, and glassware? Yes, our comprehensive ‘place setting’ hire charges start at £6.50 plus Vat per person. The charge includes the provision of white crockery, stainless steel cutlery, and wine/water glassware for your meal. What about table linen and furniture? We can hire these items for you to meet your exact requirements, to include crisp white or coloured table linen, chair covers, circular or rectangular dining tables, and a choice of chairs with all hired items charged in addition to the menu per head price. Are you able to provide food for our band, and photographer, as well as our guests? Talk to us about who you would like us to feed and when. A simple main course, selection of sandwiches or light finger food will usually do the trick, all of which can easily be accommodated when we discuss the overall requirements for your event. I want Brownsvibe at my event, how can I secure the booking with you and confirm the date? After reading through our brochure and menus, we would normally suggest a meeting with you to discuss fine details and to go through possible dishes. We then send you an estimate based on a suggested number of guests. If you are happy with the price we then ask for a deposit in order to secure the booking. Then we liaise with you to fine-tune the details in preparation for your event. To secure a booking, we require a non-refundable deposit of 25% off the total bill, which will be offset against the final invoice total.
